When mixed together, Zinc oxide and Eugenol form a paste used as temporary dental dressing. The temporary action of the cement is driven by the presence of clove oil (eugenol part). The paste is also indicated for temporary filling and indirect pulp capping.
Both components are chemically pure (> 99%). The chemical reaction between eugenol and zinc oxide results in a set zinc eugenolate chelate.
Endofill is a radiopaque preparation for permanent root-canal filling. Its composition is well tolerated by tissues and it provides anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and germicidal actions. Before hardening, the paste penetrates the narrowest fissures and maintains its therapeutic effects throughout the treatment until completely set.
The final obturation neither retracts nor resorbs.
Indication:
• Permanent obturation of the root-canal after pulpectomy.
PD Swiss Devitec – (Arsenic free) Devitalizing paste. Paste for pulp devitalization.
Devitec should be used when a medicated preparation for pulp devitalization is advisable and when an arsenic-free preparation is preferred. The active ingredient is Polyoxymethylene, a coagulant which acts on albumin and confers the required fibrous consistency to the pulp to facilitate its subsequent extirpation.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is an anesthetic to relieve pain and calm irritation.
Composition
1. Polyoxymethylene 46 %
2. Lidocaine Hydrochloride 37 %
3. Oil of Cloves 12 %
4. Excipient ad 100 %
5. Devitalization of the pulp
DEVITEC – INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Eliminate, as far as possible, the dentine of the decayed cavity in order to ensure close contact with the pulp. Close contact of the paste with the pulp accelerates the devitalizing process
2. Insert a small quantity of paste into the base of the cavity and seal hermetically with a temporary obturation
3. Devitalization is completed within about 7 days
4. If the preparation cannot be brought in close contact with the pulp, a second treatment might be necessary for a 2nd seat
5. After devitalization, a permanent root canal filling can be placed once the pulp is totally removed and pain relief is complete
Warning
1. Contains Polyoxymethylene which can be toxic by inhalation or ingestion. Contact with the skin may cause irritation, burns or hypersensitivity
2. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and consult a physician
Storage
Store at room temperature between 5°C and 30°C. Close the container carefully after use.
Shelf life 3 years.
Packaging (two variants available)
Syringe Pack = 3.5g
Jar Pack = 6g
Devitalizing Paste without Arsenic should be used when a preparation which does not contain Arsenic is advised. The active ingredient is Polyoxymethylene, a coagulant which acts on albumin and confers the required fibrous consistency to the pulp to facilitate its subsequent extirpation.
Lidocaine Hydrochloride is an anaesthetic to relieve pain and calm irritation. Opacal is a radiopaque, creamy and ready-to-use calcium hydroxide paste for temporary root canal dressing. When temporisation of the root canal between two appointments is required, calcium hydroxide paste is the standard material to use. The product is intended to eliminate remaining microorganisms and prevent reinfection between. The main properties of the calcium hydroxide paste are thanks to its alkaline pH. The usual duration of temporisation treatment is between 1 and 3 weeks.
The product features a high pH (above 12). With a radiopacity > 300% of the dentine radiopacity, Opacal is one of the most radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste, ensuring easy identification and efficient follow-up. Opacal is an aqueous non-setting material. This characterisitic induces rapid ionic release and performant action in short treatment time procedure (R.G. Fava & W.P. Saunder – Calcium hydroxide pastes: classification and clinical indications). In addition, the paste can be easily removed.
Opacal is packaged in a 3ml syringe and provided with 10 dedicated application tips and a finger grip. The combined use of ready-to-use paste and luer-lock application tip enable to deliver the paste in the root canal anatomy with safety and precision. The dedicated tips are flexible and designed to reach desired zone of different root canal anatomy. The finger grip plate provided with the device enables to control more precisely the handling and delivery of the paste with finger. Additional application tips can be ordered with dedicated reference.
