Since its early introduction in 1905 by Buckley, Formocresol, thanks to its antibacterial activity, has proved as effi cient in vital pulpotomy as for the root canal treatment. The Formaldehyde acts as a powerful, long-lasting germicide and also renders inert any remaining organic materials. The Cresol acts as an effi cient antiseptic and also reduces any irritation that could be caused by the Formaldehyde.

Transparent strips are matrices which help contour restorative materials to match natural dentition. They are primarily intended for light-cured composite on anterior tooth. Transparency of the product ensures polymerization for light cure or self-cure composites. In addition, transparent strips are made of strong plastic with tensile strength and flexibility ensuring the band to be drawn tightly and snugly around the tooth, giving good marginal adaptation.
Transparent strips are available in a wide range of dimensions as pre-cut bands (straight or curved, variable thickness (75µm thin or 50µm x-thin), variable length (70mm, 100mm or 140mm), variable width (6mm, 8mm or 10mm)).

Mummifying paste-Antiseptic, non-absorbable and radiopaque paste for obturation of root canals

Mummifying paste is a non-absorbable and radiopaque preparation for temporary or permanent obturation of root canals, used as an effective antiseptic agent against aerobic and/or anaerobic bacteria.
This drug does not contain any anti-inflammatory components, which in some cases may be contraindicated. Therefore, there is a small risk of inflammation if the paste goes beyond the tip. If the use of anti-inflammatory agents is necessary, Endofill with dexamethasone is recommended.
Temporary or permanent filling and obturation of difficult-to-pass root canals with incomplete extirpation of the pulp.
Application method:
devitalized and remove the root pulp as much as possible, rinse and dry the canal.
insert the paste into the canal using a canal filler.
avoid air bubbles and overflow of the channel.
Temporary sealing:
Cover with temporary cement and open after 5-7 days. Remove the paste mechanically (if necessary, use “PD” Eugenate Desobturator to soften the paste). Treat the canal thoroughly and complete obturation or sealing as necessary.
Final obturation:
Seal the canal with zinc-phosphate cement and complete the restoration as necessary.

When endodontic retreatment is required, Eugenate desobturator is a pure orange oil solvent used for the softening and subsequent mechanical removal of eugenol-based cements (eugenate) or gutta-percha points. The softening of the obturating materials enables its easier mechanical removal, especially when the hardness and location of the material are critical.
As only few drops of solvent are necessary, precise delivery can be achieved using drop-by-dop dosing product, such as PD Plastic Pipettes 0.3ml or 1ml.
